I strongly second Greg's suggestion about the mp; I have several vintage metal clarinets in good shape but which may not even play at all with a recent mp. I have had good response with the older B45s. There are several variations within the B45s : the best one is the one with both large lettered 'B45' on the front and on the side, it has a slightly wider opening at the base of the slope inside (plus evasée) than those with just very small letters on the side or large in front and small on the side (je sais, c'est compliqué!). I got mine on Leboncoin.
