 Legere reed designs over time

It's surprising to me how Legere clarinet reeds have gone from barely wide enough to cover some mouthpiece windows (an early signature from ~2 years ago) to wide enough to hang over every mouthpiece and create an embouchure leak (recent Euro Sig). These are both #3 reeds. Note also how much shorter the vamp and overall length are on the Euros.

I find this a little odd...I looked at some of my collection of Vandoren reeds over the last decade and they are all pretty much exactly the same dimensions overall...the vamp varies a tiny bit but you have to look carefully.
