I found some ligatures on eBay which seem to be an Ishimori copy. They cost just a few bucks, so gave them a try. I certainly didn't expect high quality, I thought there would be some rough edges to send down etc. But this damned thing just doesn't fit on any mouthpiece. In fact, I couldn't even play test it, because if I tightened the screws, I would hurt the mouthpiece badly. Just want to warn everybody not to purchase any of these.

Hey "sonic bang,"
Did you try flipping them over ("upside down")? That is the screws would have to be tightened while you are looking at the top of the mouthpiece; reed facing away from you. I bought an old version of a BG Tradition that was configured this way.

Don't some German mouthpieces have a smaller circumference? Perhaps they could be intended for them? Or maybe they are just useless, untested junk.

It was advertised as Bb lig. And it doesn't work upside down, and too bid for being an Eb lig at the same time. I guess this is just useless untested junk...

Hmmm....... the only reason I suggested "upside down" and screws facing the other direction is because it looks just like the final result I got from this old BG I bought second hand. I put in on the way one would normally put on an inverted ligature. Sure enough the top edge looked like your picture. I actually had to have the tech selling the ligature take it from me and flip it.......I thought he was nuts. Sure enough though it fit fine that way. I just have to turn the clarinet around to tighten (not good as a lefty!).
Sorry to hear that did not work for these........weird. I guess someone fabricated this metal object to look like a ligature without any idea how it was supposed to be used.
Too bad.
