 Spiegel im Spiegel

When I finish playing this piece I am completely exhausted.
Is it just me, or others are experiencing the same?
I just attribute it to old age!

Mike.

Is the music available on line by any chance? It sounds like just the thing for me to build up a bit of stamina.

Got it, thanks. Dumb question, I know, but do you play the piano part or the cello part?

SunnyDaze

Under the cello and piano piece, there is a violin and piano.
Download it in Musescore. Right click on the "violin" name
of the violin part. Change Violin to Clarinet. Mute the clarinet by pressing F10. Play the clarinet part.
Enjoy. :)

Yes Ken. This is my favorite. The atmosphere is great.

Long a favorite, one of those performances that makes me quietly cry. It must be hard to sustain coherent melodic expression over such lengths. Hard to imagine with clarinet instead of cello, though.

Philip - this one is also a favourite of mine. I have it bookmarked and listen to it regularly. I love the concentration of the person who turns the pages for the pianist.

I performed this about 10 years ago.

Love this piece thanks for the reminder about it. It's been a while since I played or listened to it.

Some recordings don't seem to really capture this piece. I like the version that Leon posted.
