I found that a loop of webbing or cloth — I used a necktie — can be worn around the neck and over the shoulder and placed under the right elbow like a sling for a broken arm. It takes all the stress and weight from the elbow and wrist but still allows maneuverability. Made from dark material, it's hardly noticeable.
