So I'm poking around in a local Pawn Shop and come across a nice plastic Yamaha Clarinet at a fairly low price.
The Pads looked pretty good and the sections sealed. It came with a grungy looking no name plastic Mouthpiece
That said I figure I could sell the Yamaha on ebay and make a little profit.
I came home and took my favorite MP, a vanDoren M13 and played the clarinet.
It played quite well and needed no adjustments at all
I was getting ready to post it maybe include a nicer MouthPiece
I was going to throw out this no name grungy Mouthpiece, but looking at it the plastic was not chipped so I soaked it in Vinegar for a couple Hours and then chased that up with a Hydrogen Peroxide wash and it cleaned up pretty nice.
No name or brand on the MP on it and no lines for where the Ligature should go.
i put it on my Vito V40 , and played it.
I was shocked to say the least.
It sounded better than any plastic MP I've tried and sounded near as good as my M13 and the range was good as well
Any idea what brand this MP might be?
I don't know if a number of Companies make one like this or not.
I also do not know if this is original equipment on the Yamaha that it came with Well expect the unexpected
