Karl's idea is probably the most workable.

I gotta get through this thing, but having every last accidental and fingering marked, and especially the unprofessional comments, all make me want to barf.

Teachers: your students need to respect sheet music. In order to become musicians, they will actually have to learn scales and fingerings, so that they won't have to scribble all over each ever-loving piece they play.
