It also depends on how "good" the clarinet is. The so call golden era (and there are many different views on when or even if such existed) only means that on average a higher percentage of the production in those years were so called artist quality clarinets and perhaps that the overall average quality was higher. The majority even then were just pretty average. So if you did have one of those elusive artist instruments it would be more desirable and valuable.
