Hi, I have a similar question. I bought my daughter a new b12. The first one shipeed to me has "Made in Germany" stamped on the lower joint. It's got a sluggish key. I ordered a replacement. Two times in a row, the b12 clarinets seriel numbers all starts with "C" with no country of origin stamped on the lower joint or anywhere of the instrument. I ordered these instruments from WWBW, a reputable online dealer. Does anyone know where the clarinets are made that has a "C" in the beginning of the seriel number? WWBW swears that they are all made in Germany. Please help. I called the corporate of Buffet. No one returns my phone call.
