You buy a contra mouthpiece once and use it for the rest of your life. If you're serious about the instrument, get the best, which is the Grabner http://www.clarinetxpress.com/contraalto.html. It's $365 with ligature and cap and outplays everything I've tried.

If that's out of the question, the Fobes Nova at $165 http://www.clarkwfobes.com/collections/low-clarinets/products/nova-contra-alto-clarinet-mouthpiece?variant=6111376197 will be fine, or you could try Roger Garrett's piece for $135 http://www.garrettmusicproducts.com/Clarinet%20Mouthpieces.html.

Any of these will play rings around machine-made mouthpieces such as Selmer or Vandoren.
