Hello, I am in highschool right now and i've decided to pull out my old clarinet to play it to see if it still works. My Bb clarinet is the Cecilio Rosewood one and I got in in 2011 or 2010, i haven't played it in 3 years. I don't know what type of metal keys it has, but it seems like its rusting (some sort of white rust?) and changing color, it also feel yucky. MY F key-hole has what i think is mold in it, some sort of green stuff.
I just want to know how to clean it by myself at home.
Please help!
also, How do you clean a mouthpiece?? I have a Yamaha 4c mouthpiece.

Just use a Q-tip to get the gunk out of tone holes (probably some in the finger holes too).
You can use a metal polishing cloth to make wiping off the keys go a little faster (but only use a polishing cloth RARELY.......it takes a minute amount of the finish with every use). For regular maintenance just use a 100% cotton flannel cloth to wipe off keys.
For the mouthpiece, fill a small container with lemon juice and dunk the mouthpiece (try to keep the cork end out of the juice) in their for about five minutes. Just take out, rinse with cool water and wipe clean.
