I have a friend who took up violin as an adult and classifies herself as intermediate. Other than playing duets with her teacher, she has no other ensemble experience. We may have somewhat foolishly decided to attempt some duets. I thought we would start with the Voxman clarinet flute duet books. I have spent all my time (a goodly number of years) in high school and community bands with a bit of woodwind choir time but have never played with string instruments. I would appreciate any input on what intonation issues we might face and also any general observations. Thanks!
