Thought I would start a new thread on recent developments , long story short I came across by chance a music shop in my home town that sell clarinets ! and every thing you need reeds books stands etc its a long established piano shop that has recently moved premises.
anyway they have a new buffet b12 for 415 a bit more than online but then again I am paying the extra for the convenience in my view such as browsing purchasing books and choose from a huge selection of reeds and their helpful and knowledgeable advice worth the extra 25 pounds for me 8-)
the one I think I am going to get is a used bundy clarinet for 225 it has been professionally serviced and mouth piece has been sanitised the mouth piece has a couple of teeth marks that they made me aware of but I don't think it will be any detriment I can always get a better mouth piece if I choose to carry on.
comes in a nice case I can hire for three months for 75 pounds and if I choose to purchase I get the 75 pounds towards the full 225 so if it all goes belly up and I give up the most I will lose is 75 pounds worth a gamble I reckon.
I have found a techer who has first lesson free and is willing to come to my house.
15 pound for half an hour would have preferred an hour for 20 but hopefully I will learn something in half hour ? to carry on with at home
she is away on holiday next week first lesson is on first of sept
I think I am going to rent the bundy and get a reed tomorrow
