Gosh the post about comparing the written descriptions gave me the willies!!!
I'll give one completely unrelated analogy first. If you look at the specs of the standard run-of-the-mill stereos (i.e. watts and amps), they blow away the specs of the uber expensive esoteric audio. However if you listen to the difference, the choice is obvious.
This was going the long way to say that the manufacturer's descriptions probably only go as far as to tell you what the difference is from one of their models to another one of the same manufacturer's models. THE ONLY way to experience a top of the line Selmer, or Buffet, or Yamaha or Ridenour is to try them.
This has to be accomplished by either getting the instrument to you, or by you going to the instrument......you HAVE TO TRY THEM to know.
