You might want to take a look at SmartMusic (http://www.smartmusic.com/products/students/. It allows you to control the tempo of the accompaniment. If offers a big selection of music, both accompaniment only and solo part + accompaniment.
If you just want to see the midi notes on screen as they come out of your speakers, just get the free Finale Notepad (for Windows or Mac) https://store.makemusic.com/Downloads/Default.aspx
If you'd like to play along with mp3s, CDs etc., consider The Amazing Slow Downer, about $50 from Ronimusic http://www.ronimusic.com/. It allows you to control both the pitch and tempo of playback.
