Well, if it were just sitting around listening to people talk then I might sympathise with your view. However it's
- the best part of a working day with at least 3 people (Daniel, Thomas, Peter) on hand;
- an opportunity to try and discuss barrels and their quirks (and, I have no doubt, other things will crop up);
- the use of a very well-stocked workshop - note the final paragraph "As well as experimenting with a variety of ready made barrels, you will have the opportunity to design your own barrel, even make it yourself under supervision if you want. The fully equipped workshop will also be used to modify barrels during the day to enhance the learning experience.";
- highly likely to be limited number of attendees in order to provide a lot of individual time.
If it hadn't been particularly unfortunate timing a friend and I would certainly have signed up. As it is we're keeping our fingers crossed there will be another one.
