 Clarinet playing with Braces
Author: Clarie

Does anyone have any suggestions on a beginner clarinet player that will get braces about 1 month after beginning the clarinet?

As the parent of the student, I'm concerned about that bottom lip getting cut up by the teeth and the braces. I remember playing clarinet and have cut up bottom lip when I played years ago. I used cigarette paper and then some kid of denture pads to place over my bottom teeth.

Any new inventions or things that work better to place over the bottom teeth to help prevent cut bottom lip?

Thanks!
