I had a dream that aside from the same handful of works written from 50 to 200 years ago, very little clarinet music is programmed in our major concert halls, that the clarinet is losing relevance to today's audiences - being replaced with electronics or the more popular saxophone, that the prices of many clarinets are rising with little increase in quality, that CD's, record sales and concert attendance are all declining at an alarming pace, that many of our symphony orchestras are battling budget woes - cutting performances and reducing pay for musicians, and live music at shows, weddings and clubs is becoming a rarity, rather than the norm.
Then I woke up and found out it was all true...GBK
