Portsmouth is a fairly obscure place. Tommy Newsome's last home was there (that's where he passed away), but there isn't a whole lot going on there.

Va. Beach is more of a place to go for anything. Best music store used to be Lynn Music, but they were bought out by Music & Arts (to me they are the Walmart of the music industry but without the low, low prices).


btw - I lived in Portsmouth for my first 15 years.
