 Picture of my Idol

Here is a link to a photo of one of my heros. Mr Antony Pay.

Classical music is an art form that doesn't have to be "sexed" up, as groups such as Bond have done (must admit that I have no problem with the short skirts ect..)

He could have been the next Dr Who in the photo in CASS magazine a while back.

It's all very well with people like Vanessa Mae sexing the industry up, but I don't like her playing at all. They can bare all the flesh they like, but it doesn't make anyone a better player.

Same with pop music. Cheap imagery selling a cheap product.

I for one am very grateful that Tony doesn't bare any flesh.

Looks like he's in good company with the Meyer siblings!

"I for one am very grateful that Tony doesn't bare any flesh."

That depends, is he the one on the left? :)

I take it from Liquorice's comment that Mr. Pay is in the middle.

Doesn't Tony look bored. In fact Sabine looks bored also. Wonder where it was.

Are they actually in the middle of playing a modern piece where the clarinet section has 359 pages of rest so don't bother to come on for the first three hours of the performance...........?

...only to play a single ppp semiquaver altissimo Bb in unison, then wait a further 59 pages for it to finish, and by that time they're already packed up and down the pub.

Ahh you've played that one too then. Mine's a Martini...........................just the one pint should do.

I particularly like how in the middle of a 154 bar rest there is a time change, only to change back 2 bars later. Nice. And 11/8 is such a great time signature......

<<Same with pop music. Cheap imagery selling a cheap product.>>

I'd rather look at Shakira instead of Anthony Pay any day. :)
