I am trying to find a recording of Karl Leister and Ottomar Borwitzky(cello) performing the Brahms Trio op. 114. I have found a recording of the third movement, however I am searching for the complete work. Does anyone know if this work was recorded completely by these two artists? If so, does anyone know of a site to purchase this recording?

Thanks,
Brandon

Thank you for looking. I saw this CD, however this is not the complete version. This CD has Borwitzky, but not playing the Trio. Thank you for the post though!

Regards,
Brandon

Deutche Grammophone's 'Complete Brahms Edition vol.3' includes this. Amazon in Germany.

It seems out of print. You may be able to ask Grammophone on its availability.

Although it says it's out of print, and no longer available (not on this site either) so it's gonna be tough finding it. But you did ask if they had recorded it together, and here's the disc it came from.

EDIT - you can get that CD on amazon (used), but it ONLY has the third movement. Other than that, I haven't been able to find movements one and two recorded by that combination of players.

Retired, playing more sax than clarinet, but still playing clarinet and still loving it!

That too has been my problem- finding the complete version. Hiroshi, thank you for showing me the amazon.de site. I have ordered from it before, but had not thought to look at the international sites. I will continue looking!

I found French books such as published by Gallimard
are found in Amazon.fr and that German books such as published by Springer-verlag in Amazon.de.
I guessed same about CDs. (Maybe same about sheet music.)

Leister recorded many CDs not only for Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft:
http://www.deutschegrammophon.com/

but also for ORFEO INTERNATIONAL MUSIC GMBH in Munich:
http://web2.cylex.de/firma-home/orfeo-international-music-gmbh-2666433.html

Good luck
