Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anybody knows what is wrong with my arm from the symptoms described. I have felt pain going from my shoulder, to my fingers on my right arm. All of my fingers experience pain, especially my thumb, pinky, and ring finger. In addition, my wrist hurts. Also, my arm and finger often feel like they are asleep and are tingly. My elbow also hurts, and feels like it does when it is banged on something. Finally, my right arm is sometimes swollen, and my right hand is a different color then my left hand. These symptoms started when I was playing my clarinet at a rehearsal at my school. For a couple of weeks, I had played about 6 hours a day, due to play practice. Although I usually wear a neck strap, I didn't the last week of play practice. I have had these symptoms for about a week, and although my arm is starting to feel better it still hurts. If anyone knows what is wrong and how to solve the problem, will you please let me know. I have researched the symptoms on the board and the internet, but am not quite sure if it is Carpel Tunnel, RSI, a damaged nerve (because the way I was breathing caused tension in my shoulder), or something else. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Katie

Getting ANY diagnosis from a bulletin board would only be conjecture. See a doctor, find out what it is, and let us know...GBK

See a doctor tomorrow. Few of us are qualified to diagnose at all, and none of those would diagnose without a workup and examination.
