 Only if you happen to own a low A alto, but those are exceedingly rare.

 There's this trick: 
 
play a low Bb, and put your left leg over the bell, and you'll get a low A, if done correctly. Unpractical for playing, but it 's technical possible :p

 You can also put things in the bell to lower the note, such as a cardboard tube.

 ya it's possible, but u gotta stick some stuff in ur sax, which can get really expensive (mine goes down 2 the low g)
