Hey everyone, summer is coming up and I really want to work on my jazz soloing skills...what are the essential scales and/or chords I should work at and get to know in order to improve?

Sorry if I come off as rude, but I was looking for the names of specific scales...

Try chromatic scales, so you know all the sharps/flats on your instrument. also try some blues scales. the chords depend on whatever song you pick. i've noticed on some of my jazz pieces they have a solo part, with a scale and a chord written in. are you improvising or have a solo written part? if you play off of a written solo score, just practise it. if it's improv. then i can't really help. i don't know how to very well.
