I was left an old alto sax by my great uncle and I'm trying to find out more about it. How do I know where it fits in in the conn saz scheme of things, serial number 40770. Otehr numbers above are patent Dec. 8, 1914, looks like !119954, then an "A" presumably for Alto. Therea an L below the serial number.
Anybody out there have any clues? Tx for the help.
