I am picking up a saxophone after over 15 years of not playing. Is this going to be my greatest challenge or is it just like riding a bike? I am nervous but determined to relearn the instrument I loved all through my school days.

Depends on how well you learned it before but it is sort of like riding a bike. You don't forget but you do get rusty. You will be surprised both at what you remember and at what you don't remember.

you will probably need to work on your chops a bit. start off on a softer reed than you used to until you get the hang of it again. I find that if i haven't played for a few weeks, the reed feels waaaay too strong. It might not be the same for you though.

i stopped playing the flute for 5 years, and when I picked it up again it was really like riding a bike after years of disuse. i am so happy with my decision that i wonder how did i go without my flute during those 5 years
