Hi! I just started to play the bassoon (I played the clarinet for 8 years) and I was wondering... wich notes are hard to play? I seem to have difficulties with low E and high A... they don't come out so easy... Does someone have some tips? Or other problems?

for the high a...well, try adding the left hand pinky. also, make sure you have the half-hole thing right. same for the g. if you can get the g nicely, a shouldn't be hard either. also, don't press the whisper key in case you have been...low e natural?...no clue. shouldn't be all THAT difficult. the low e-flat, however, may have tuning issues depending on your bassoon. so watch for that

I kinda played it with good tone and quality as soon as I started it, but if you keep practicing, you will get better. PROMISE!!

I've pretty much got the idea for playing the bassoon. The only problems I have are with the high, high notes, like C and D. Pretty much the top 5 highest notes. Any tips as to how to get them to sound right?
