Something could be loose on it or it is missing a spring or a screw or something like that. Or a key could be sticking.

If you have another clarinet, or one of your friends has a clarinet, compaire the keywork and springs and stuff on the two of them. Alto player could be right, and doing that will help you determine if there is something missing or out of place.

I betcha you have a key bent or pad out of place. sometimes you can have a key bent slightly and not notice it's out of place, but it leaks enough air as to not make a note below the hole. take it to a friend who can play, thye might know what the problem is, but if they can't get a note, take it to an instrument repair shop. they'll find out whats wrong, and can advise how to fix it.

The reason I said what I did earlier was because I had that sorta thing happen to me cept only 4 notes that sounded the same came out but nothing else and it turned out to be that one of my springs broke:( I was not happy and my band teacher didn't have the supplies to fix it so we had to use rubberbands to get my clarinet to work:(

just take it in to a repair man, he knows what he is doing and how to fix it.
