 Selmer Signet clarinet

I am trying to locate, using the serial number, when this instrument was made. I have concluded that only serial number of Selmer(Paris)are available on the internet. Does anyone know if Selmer(USA)serial numbers are available? It is a wood Signet Special Mazzeo Model with serial number 54430.

I just bought a selmer signet clarient and I havethe same question. Mine has a serial number of 252349.
