What brand is the best for a new clarinet??? i've been playing for five years and i'am finally looking into a new clarinet. When i was in middle school i used this really good brand but i forgot what it was called, but i do know it came in a light, and dark brown case. i absolutely loved the sound and everything, so if u know what brand i'm talking about. please tell me what cause i REALLY WANT ONE!!!

Selmer and Yamaha have high standards. Leblanc and vito are god brands aswell. Vito being the student model, Leblanc pro. Buffet is a very good brand aswell. Buffet keeps up with Selmer and Yamaha. Bundy is a good intermediate brand. Jupiter is another good student model. Armstrong is a student model and it's a hit or miss. some models are good some aren't. play test a clarinet before you play to make sure you know what you're getting. you could see an expensive Buffet or Selmer and it plays horribly, whereas you could find a Vito that plays beautifully. hope this helps.
