I'm auditioning for All State band in a few months, and I'm not sure of what I should choose for a solo. Any ideas?

Well, you could try using some orchestral excerpts for flute, like the ones published by Jeanne Baxtresser.
The best way is to ask your flute teacher because he or she is more familiar with your playing and what you play best.
My suggestion is that you choose a piece that can show your tone, most probably a slow one, and one piece that shows your technique, fast or a lot of tonguings.
How many pieces are you going to play? What is your level of playing? If you could tell me a bit more about your playing I could make better suggestions.

Well, I don't have a "flute teacher," I'm just in band (I'm a junior in high school), and I've pretty much taught myself most of the things I know.
We're only playing one piece. The All State audition requires the 3-octave chromatic scale, two etudes, several scales, and a solo piece. I would feel most comfortable with a slower piece at an intermediate/nearly advanced level. Maybe a Celtic piece, since I really like Celtic music and would enjoy playing it. It's not a must though.

Well, if that is the case. I suggest for the etude, you need to find one slow piece and one fast piece and for the solo you could shoose a slow piece.
Try not to play all slow pieces for he audition because the panel would want to look for tone quality and intonation in the slow pieces and technical security (articulation, rythm, etc) a fast piece.
You could try Debussy's Syrinx, which is a standard flute repertoire for your solo. For the etude, you could take them from Anderson or Boehm or Kohler's 15 Petites Etudes Melodiques, Op 33 Book 1 ( this is much easier to tackle than the other to for me).
For the solo piece, try not to choose something that is too simple. You can try Bizet's Entract from Carmen flute solo or one of the movements from Bach's Partita in A minor.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, but our etudes are pre-chosen and we can only do one solo. I'll look at the ones you suggested, though.

You're welcome. I didn't know that your etudes were pre-chosen
Best of luck in your audition.
