Hello,

I've been reading the Board for a long time and have found it to be very interesting. I need some help. I own a Cor Anglais made by Oehler of Berlin. It began life as a fully automatic conservatoire but was later adapted to semi-automatic octave with an added thumbplate and a low b adjustable link, very handy for slurring d to d.

Can any one give me more information about Oehler, other than he gave his name to the clarinet fingering system still used in much of Germany and Austria.

thanks
