Although I do not have one myself, many of my colleagues do. Their impressions range from loving it to using it as a pregouger (Hey, WR).
From the cane I tried gouged on that machine, my impression was that it made a very generic reed. It worked but didn't have the complexity in the tone I desired. On the other hand, a friend I play with all the time sounds fantastic with many layers and colors in her sound from that very gouge.
And yes, I think JM was using that gouger in his last few years. He also had input into the dimensions he wanted. I think you can get an Innoledy with thicker sides if you ask.
