If you are using a oboe cane density tester, can you share a couple of things:
1) if it's worth the significant investment (about $600.00)
2) what are the numbers you are looking for
3) I have talked with pro players who are using "12" as the ideal strength/denisty, but will work with cane from 10-15.
4) 15+ being "soft" and suitable for novice reed makers
