Yes, I had an MU series oboe once and I liked it. However, as Mike mentioned, the simple stamp doesn't necessarily indicate whether it's a good oboe or not, particularly with more modern instruments (post E series).

Loree has many "finishers" and assemblers who work out of their own offices/homes. Once they're done, they're picked up by de Gourdon who hand play tests each one and does the final touch ups. After this, he stamps them. So MU01 couldn't be from a completely different assembler/finisher than MU02.
