Thanks for updating us; we did wonder how the story came out.
Oh, and--if you were to go look at my Practice Journal for the second month I played the oboe, you would see that I was only managing to play for periods of time ranging from 3 minutes to 5 minutes, until my mouth turned to jello and I had to stop and rest. It really does take time to get those muscles built up, so don't be discouraged by your seemingly slow progress at first.
So even after a month or two I still was not able to play anything remotely resembling Schubert. My greatest ambition was to master the totally evil "Go Tell Aunt Rhodie".
So be patient.
