The FB 091 Bulgheroni student model oboe with no cracks, in first class condition, can sometimes sell for as little as $1200-$1500 on Ebay, though up to about $1700 -$1900 off Ebay. New, about $2700 or so depending on the exchange rate.
Beautiful oboe, about the very best "student" model oboe available.
Sometimes the timbre of the FB091 seems a bit "bright," even in comparison to [say] the Bulgheroni "Artist" model. In my estimation, Bulgheroni is one of the very best oboes "value for money," whether student (FB091), intermediate (FB101), professional ("Artist"), or beyond (Opera, MUSA), new or used.
I bought a Bulgheroni Opera model oboe at IDRS this year- my favorite instrument on display by any maker exhibiting. Amazing instrument!
