I don't know if we can delete our own posts on this BBoard. At the risk of annoying, I have been able to recover my old blog address and decided to keep using that one.

=> Notice the i instead of y in hautbois.
The URL name is important to me because the nick-name Robin Des Hautbois has followed me since my high-school days: I considered it a sign of predestination! Robin des Bois is French for Robin Hood (Robin of the woods or Robin of Sherwood) and the spelling testifies that I remain with the modern instrument (the y was the spelling for the baroque/classical instrument).
I just put up a comparison picture between the classical oboe and the new Albrech Mayer model, so I hope to see you there!
We can certainly not call the new Albrecht Mayer line a return to the true origins of the instrument: it's more modern than ever! But the goal is to harmonize the beautiful tonal qualities of the old instrument with the technical, range and dynamic qualities of the modern.
