Anyone here ever heard of a RICO branded clarinet?
Well, I just aquired one and have it in front of me. I can't seem to find any online information at all about this instrument.
Judging from RICO logotype and the case, which I believe is original, it was manufactured in the 50s or 60s. It's all wooden with unplated nickel silver keys.
The lower joint socket is all metal and the barrel is 58 mm.
Serial number 742.
For comparison, the finish is on par with the E-S Master Model from 1953 I also have at hand, though the Rico wood seems to be of higher quality.
It's marked "made in France" so I assume it was made by one of the French woodwind manufacturers during that era.
The pads need to be replace before I can play test it, so I don't know how well it performs.
I seek the expertise of this group in an attempt to determine the origin of this clarinet.
Is it perhaps something a local dealer initiated, or maybe Rico had a few made for promotion and reed demonstration purposes?
Who was likely to have manufactured it?
Lots of photos here:

I am grateful for your thoughts and any insights you may have.
Cheers,
Henrik
