Hi everyone,
In going through some old mini-discs, I re-discovered dubs of a cassette tape a university student in the 90's shared with me. It seems his high school music teacher got this tape from overseas, from a clarinet student wondering if they were good enough to get into university here (!)
It's fantastic playing, virtuoso double-tonguing, super high-range, chordal multiphonics...I've separated into 2 dubs on Youtube: one with classical transcriptions, I think entirely of violin music, and another of unaccompanied contemporary playing (that may be all improvised!).
I have no idea who this is, and please note I am not making any money from this; I just want everyone to have a chance to hear this fantastic playing!

Hope you enjoy as much as I have!

I was sure I was about to get rick-rolled! Good stuff from what little I sampled. Some beautiful phrasing in the opening of the Saint-Saens and fireworks sure are clear! It's a shame the sound quality isn't better but good on you for preserving it and getting it heard all these years later. I wonder a bit about the origin story. Seems a little too perfect...
