I just purchased a c clarinet from a older local player but it came in a B flat case and it doesn’t really fit well and has a lot of room to move around. Looking for suggestions on a case that will fit it well and hopefully not break the bank.

Make some high density foam blocks that fill in and take up the gaps in the ends of each section and fit them in place under the case lining fabric.

I wouldn't recommend the Reed & Squeak case for anything other than period instruments with little to no keywork.
Just adapt the Bb case you've got which is much easier and less costly than wasting money on a soft case that can end up doing more harm than good.

I think the R&S cases are mostly pretty similar and I have the small bass clarinet one. It's not the most protective case in the history of cases, and I wouldn't say it's as protective as something like a BAM (I'm very familiar with both models), but it's much closer to that than to a gig bag. Mine has many hours of walking with it, driving with it (on the very bumpy local roads) in the back seat and the boot of a car (usually with a bunch of other bags and stuff around it) and regular use. So far zero issues. I'm not that much more careful with than I was when I used a Wiseman case. A soprano would would have even less potential issues in a case like this.
If I had to fly I would take the Wiseman case, which I can sit or even stand on with the clarinet in it (which I wouldn't recommend with any case, but I've done it just to show it's possible).
So I would recommend R&S but I'm only posting this to give another perspective on their cases. I got it mainly because of its light weight. Soprano clarinet cases are pretty small and light anyway so there isn't much of an advantage to a R&S over other cases anyway.

I actually keep an old French stencil C clarinet in one of these:

but I won't say I recommend it!
Good luck!
