Hello everyone! I'm extremely grateful for the replies i got for the previous post about this a few weeks ago. Our performance is done and dusted and we did better than expected! Thank you all so much for the tremendous help and support. It's very heartwarming to have such a wonderful community of clarinetists being there for each other in trying times :'D
The whole festival was streamed and there were A LOT of positive comments on my band's performance and many said that it touched their hearts and moved them. I don't really care what results we get in the end honestly (context: the performance of each school gets a grade) because every single person worked their ass off. Considering the covid period, the fact that we only had 2 months to learn the piece, and the small number of players (18 wind players, 4 clarinets -- one 1st one 2nd two 3rds), our performance was a huge feat and I'm quite proud of us.
I don't think i would have had the confidence and trust in myself to persevere and push myself to keep finding ways to help my section and lead them the best that I can without those who helped me in my post :-) Thank you all so much.
Special thanks to:
kdk
