Any good? The price is right. I actually prefer plastic over wood, since
I play a lot of outdoor jazz gigs in a cold and wet area (Seattle.) Got a
msg back from the seller wo made a big deal of their "wood embossed
plastic" but mainly I'm concerned about craftsmanship, since a lot of
people seem to be slapping fancy labels on Chinese junk these days. They
claim to make them there in Germany but at that price, seems unlikely to
me.
I tried to list a link but it was removed. They are $348 on ebay and easy to find under A-key clarinets if you sort by cheapest first. Not trying to sell them for anyone just want some feedback before buying one. Really want an A-clarinet but not paying a grand for a plastic Allora! And I sure as hell don't have 5 grand to lay out for a Buffet either.

Do you mean beyond the "direct from Germany" in the ad? That seems to just refer to where they are located and shipped from. I have no idea where they are made. They look very similar to some Chinese clarinets.

The seller in a private email told me they are the manufacturer and they are in Germany. Of course, manufacturer can mean anything these days, like everything is made somewhere else and then they assemble them there in Germany, or just put the logo on and polish them a bit, who knows. The price is definitely too low to to be totally made in Germany. My guess is, it's Chinese parts assembled by a Geman guy in his garage. That's fine by me, as long as they play better than the garbage coming out of JinYin.

I find "Christian Berg" as an online fashion shop only. "Christian Berg" music instruments are offered by an ebay shop named "first-music" ( https://www.ebay.de/str/firstmusic?_pgn=10&rt=nc ) who also have other brands of the cheapest sort with sometimes misleading names like "Yama" or "Yamato". I can't imagine that any instrument professional over here touches them when they come out of the shipping container.
