 Bore size of Selmer Bass clarinets?

Does Selmer (Paris) make bass clarinets with more than one bore size? They only list one (upper joint: 23.5, lower joint: 23.4 mm) on their website, but I've heard that they recently produced one with a smaller bore? If that's true, any reason why they'd do that?
