I have an alto clarinet and I would like to find out a bit more about it. The silver bell has the words
Arthur Glaser
Erlbach i. V.
Lower down it says Schutzpolizei.
I found a makers name on the reed cap, V Kohlert’s Sohne Graslitz but nowhere else on the instrument.

"Polizei" means it was made for a police band.
The name on the reed cap means nothing. They get changed around all the time.
Note that it has open finger holes for the right and left middle fingers, which may be a stretch, and that it has German system keywork and fingering, which, presumably, you'll need to learn.
