I'm in the process of learning daphnis and chloe right now, (2nd suite of course, 1st part out of hadcock's book) and I have a problem with the first two types of noodles where my Bb's and G's are sticking out of the rest of the group. My guess it's that it's a color issue. Do any of you have suggestions on how to fix this or at least lessen its prominence?

Those notes have less resistance than the others so the same air pressure can cause them to "stick" out more than the covered notes. You could try keeping your right hand down for the whole passage, that will give the throat notes a more equal resistance as long as they don't sound flat. Aside from that you have to learn to control your air through those notes so you don't "push" those more than the covered ones. It's more of a problem if you use too free or soft set up in my opinion. The more resistance you have in your set up, but not too much of course, the easier it is to make those notes blend. Remember, I'm not suggesting using a very resistance a set up, just not to free.
