So today BMS posted some pictures of some very large (4 foot) cocobolo blanks on their Facebook along with a message that their next big thing will arrive "July 2014." Earlier Backun did admit to a bass clarinet coming out in 2015. Do you think the bass is just coming out sooner that expected or if something very different is in the works (maybe an eefer)? Hopefully there will be some goodies at clarinetfest!

Hey David! I'll bet it's around $15,000. The Buffet prestige is about 10 and the Tosca bass (which is making it's "debut" at clarinetfest even though it has been available for several months) should be around $12,000. I'm less interested in the price and more interested in how Morrie and Co. will try to justify their pricing. Will you be going to the ICA meet this year?
