Hello!
I was curious as to what year my newer Buffet R13 was made. I know my A was made in 1974, with the serial number 150270, but I have no idea about my Bb. The serial number is 534818, and it was purchased new in 2011.

My list shows it as 1974. Doesn't sound right to me.

My A was made in 1974, and has the serial number 150270. The Bb I'm curious about has the number 534818, and should have been made sometime around 2010, but I'm curious as to the specific year. Any ideas?

Hi Zachary, Sorry, I misread your email. My Buffet list only goes up to'98, and it was well after that.

Best I can tell you is that my '97 R13 serial number is 437XXX and I got that
from Buffet's list before they dropped it.

534818 would I think date to 2004/2005.
I often ask my customers if they have owned their instrument from new and if so when it was purchased.
A Tosca I worked on number 539xxx was purchase new in May 2005 so was probably made only a few months earlier.
