Back in 1987, I received a letter from Ralph Morgan, the mouthpiece maker. He mentioned that when he was working for Selmer in Elkhart, IN Selmer (Paris) copied a mouthpiece once used by my father; my father, Joseph E. Elliott was principal of the Cincinnati Symphony from 1906 to 1939. The mouthpiece was called "B*211" and "had the "A" shaped throat." Emil Schmachtenberg had my father's mouthpiece (he had succeeded my father in the orchestra) and had let Morgan copy it. It was not in production very long...possibly in the 1950s.
Has anyone ever heard of this mouthpiece (B*211) and if so, have any idea where I might obtain one...or better yet, any idea what happened to the original one?

Just reviving this thread to see if anybody else knows about the 211 mouthpieces. I've found a few floating around on ebay and I can't find anything else on the web that references them besides this thread.
Here's a good picture of one of them, I've found one HS and two HS** with these markings:
