Velcro can make an excellent ligature. I made my own; cost about 50 cents.

I don't often agree with Alex- but I think you have a point...
Keeping them off Ebay? Good luck.
Seems like the legal issues you'd have if you tried to patent a 1.04mm tip opening and sue anyone else who uses it.
Just for reference- other companies that have made single screw fabric ligatures with varying types of material in between the reed and fabric: BG, Vandoren, Rovner... They are all different and all unique, but the general concept is the same and it's going to be difficult for this company to enforce these legal statements.
Best of luck to them though...

Interesting. Reading the page it mentions the wood flat plates act as a soundboard ... like a piano's soundboard ??
and you can only sell it to a friend, colleague, or student basically not using any form of online selling ? In today's technological world .. as mentioned ... good luck.
the totally flat plate will give contact to the reed in a small contact area. I'm going to guess if you overtighten you will bend the "coin" in the coin ligature and they are going to get alot of cracks / breakages of the flat wood plate.
The only way I see them from preventing online selling is to lease the ligatures ...

They may have better said that they cannot guarantee the authenticity and quality of their product if they are sold by another party, especially an online auction. It would be pretty hard to enforce the idea of people not putting a ligature they bought on an auction site. All of this assumes that someone will want to copy their design to make a knockoff, but maybe that is the point: it is such a great ligature that soon everyone will try to copy it. Has anyone tried one of these?

The lack of an includes cap intrigues me. Are you supposed to try a bunch of different ones until you find one that fits?
